Andrew Tate loses appeal to relax judicial restrictions as he awaits human trafficking, rape trial
- British influencer Andrew Tate lost an appeal to relax judicial restrictions while awaiting trial in Romania for human trafficking and rape.
- The appeal was to lift geographical restrictions, preventing Tate from traveling outside Eastern Europe.
- Tate's legal troubles continue to escalate as he faces charges of forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women.
Andrew Tate, a social media influencer, is in trouble in Romania. He is accused of human trafficking and rape. The court in Bucharest, Romania, said he can't leave the country for now. Tate, who is a former kickboxer and has citizenship in both the UK and the US, was arrested in December 2022 with his brother and two Romanian women. The court case against him started in June last year. Tate was banned from social media for saying bad things about women. The court decided the case against him can continue, but no trial date is set yet. The people accusing Tate say he hurt them and reported him to the UK police in 2014 and 2015. The UK police investigated for four years but didn't charge him. So, the accusers asked for money online to sue him. In another case, the UK wants to arrest Tate and his brother for something that happened in the UK between 2012 and 2015. The court in Romania said they can be sent to the UK after the trial in Romania is over. Tate's lawyer says he should be allowed to travel because it's a right. But for now, he has to stay in Romania and face the trial.
