The town of Vovchansk is in the ruins of the Kharkiv region

The Associated Press has obtained rare drone footage of the destroyed ruins of the embattled town of Vovchansk in northeast Ukraine, as Russian forces try to capture the Ukrainian region known as the Donbas.

Aerial footage shows extensive damage in the northeastern town of Vovchansk in Ukraine. Russia’s surprise offensive which began on 10 May forced many of the town’s 17,000 residents to evacuate.
