Story

Toyota is recalling almost 100,000 Tundra pickups and around 3,500 Lexus LX 600 luxury SUVs. The reason for the recall is a problem that could make the engines lose power while driving. Some of these vehicles may have leftover debris from the manufacturing process inside the engine. This debris can cause knocking, rough running, and sometimes even make the engine stop working while driving. The affected vehicles are the 2022 and 2023 model year Tundras and LX 600s. Only the regular gasoline-powered versions are part of this recall, not the hybrid ones. The issue with the engines of certain 2022 and 2023 Toyota Tundra pickups and Lexus LX luxury SUVs led to a recall of 102,000 models. Toyota announced the recall due to the potential presence of machining debris inside the engines. This debris could result in a loss of engine power, increasing the risk of accidents. Toyota has not yet found a solution to fix the problem. Owners of the vehicles that might be affected will receive a letter by the end of July informing them about the situation and that Toyota is working on a solution. Once a repair is identified, owners will be asked to take their vehicle to a Toyota dealer for free repairs.
