North Carolina State won against James Madison in the Raleigh Regional to move on to the super regional of the NCAA Tournament. This is the sixth time under coach Elliott Avent that the Wolfpack have made it to the super regionals. They will face Georgia next, who won the Athens Regional. In the game, Alec Makarewicz had a good performance, hitting 2 for 4, homering, and bringing in two runs. The Wolfpack scored their first two runs in the fourth inning through hits and walks. James Madison's Mike Mancini hit a solo home run in the fourth inning, but Makarewicz responded with a solo homer in the sixth. Both players added more runs in the eighth inning. North Carolina State secured the win with a solo home run by Noah Soles in the ninth inning. In another game, North Carolina State beat South Carolina with Eli Serrano III and Garrett Pennington leading the team with five runs, five hits, and three home runs. Pennington hit two home runs early in the game. Serrano's solo homer in the fifth inning gave the Wolfpack a lead. South Carolina tied the game in the seventh, but North Carolina State scored again in the eighth inning to win. Derrick Smith got the save for the Wolfpack, while Connor McCreery took the loss for South Carolina.
