President Joe Biden will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Normandy, France. They will talk about Ukraine and how the US can support them more. This is important because Russia's invasion of Ukraine has brought a big war back to Europe. Biden will also meet Zelensky in Italy next week. They last met in person in Washington in December 2023. Biden signed a bill in April giving over $60 billion in aid to Ukraine after some political disagreements. The US has trained many Ukrainian soldiers and wants to continue and expand this training. The US Treasury Secretary is working to get European countries to help Ukraine by using Russian assets. This will be a big topic when Biden meets with French President Emmanuel Macron in Normandy. The US wants all G7 countries to help Ukraine so they can succeed in the war. Zelensky has been meeting with commanders and visiting other countries to get support.
