Another charge is for trying to kidnap a 22-year-old woman named Emily Doherty the day before. Wright did not enter a plea and was kept in custody for a court appearance on Monday. Victoria Hall went out with her friend Gemma Algar on the night of September 18, 1999, but never made it home. Her body was found five days later in a ditch far from where she was last seen. The police reopened the case in 2019 due to new information from witnesses. Steve Wright is accused of kidnapping and killing Victoria Hall. Her body was found days after she went missing in 1999. She was out with a friend at a nightclub in Felixstowe before parting ways. Wright, a former forklift driver, is also accused of trying to kidnap another woman in Felixstowe.
