Story

Another storm is coming to North Texas. It will start in Oklahoma and move south during the night. The storm will reach areas east and northeast of the metroplex late Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. The storms are expected to move over the Red River around 3 a.m. and then continue moving south and east until mid-morning on Wednesday. Most of the storms will stay to the east of I-35 and I-45, but a few may also happen further west. The storm will bring heavy rain, and a Flood Watch has been issued for areas east of I-35 and I-45 from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. Wednesday. The storms will be strong as they cross the Red River, with the main threat being damaging winds and a lower risk of large hail. Wednesday will be cooler than Tuesday, with temperatures in the upper 80s to mid 90s. It will feel like 100-105 degrees. Thursday is expected to be storm-free, the first time since May 20. With no rain, temperatures will rise to the mid-upper 90s in the afternoon, close to the record of 101° set in 1974. It will feel even hotter. Eastern counties will be cooler than western counties, but it will still be a hot Tuesday. The high temperature for Tuesday is 94 degrees, but it will feel like 109 degrees for some people.
