Officer Riley Flynn of the Atlantic City Police Department heroically rescued a teenage girl and her four pets from a house fire on May 26. Body camera footage captured Flynn kicking in the door of the smoke-filled home and leading the girl to safety. He then went back inside multiple times to save the family's three dogs and one cat. Police Chief James Sarkos praised Flynn for his quick actions and bravery. The incident was reminiscent of three police officers in Las Vegas who were honored for rescuing a woman from a fire in March. The Atlantic City Fire Department extinguished the fire, and both the girl and Flynn received medical treatment at the scene.
