Chicago's Lula Cafe Wins Prestigious James Beard Award for Outstanding Hospitality

The James Beard Awards, known as the Oscars of the culinary and hospitality world, were held in Chicago. Chefs from top restaurants across the country gathered to celebrate the best in the industry. Esmé in Logan Square won the James Beard Award for outstanding hospitality. Chicago was praised for its tight-knit and supportive culinary community. Lula Café was the only Chicago restaurant to win an award this year. Various chefs and restaurants were recognized, including Michael Rafidi of Albi, Langbaan in Portland, and Dakar NOLA in New Orleans. Hajime Sato of Sozai in Clawson, Michigan, won Best Chef of the Great Lakes Region.
