Elon Musk withdraws lawsuit against OpenAI founders in California court

Elon Musk withdrew his lawsuit against OpenAI and its co-founders, Sam Altman and Greg Brockman, in California state court. The lawsuit was filed for breach of contract and fiduciary duty, but Musk decided to dismiss it just one day after criticizing OpenAI's partnership with Apple. The case was dismissed without prejudice, as the contract at the center of the suit was not a formal written agreement. Musk had highlighted his role in the creation of OpenAI, which has become a successful startup known for ChatGPT. Musk also launched his own AI startup, xAI, which aims to understand the universe and recently secured a $6 billion Series B funding round. X.AI released a chatbot named Grok, inspired by "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."
