Quincy Jones, a legendary music producer, has been nominated for seven Oscars over the past 55 years but has never won a competitive statuette. However, he will be receiving an honorary Oscar from the Academy's Board of Governors in November for his contributions to the art of film. Alongside Jones, casting director Juliet Taylor, filmmaker Richard Curtis, and James Bond producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli will also be honored at this year's Governors Awards. Curtis will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for his charitable efforts, while Wilson and Broccoli will be given the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award for their success as producers.
