Wimbledon prize money fund reaches all-time high of $64 million

Wimbledon's total prize money fund will rise to a record 50 million pounds, with the singles champions each earning 2.7 million pounds. The total amount is 5.3 million pounds more than last year, an increase of 11.9%. Players who lose in the first round of singles will get 60,000 pounds each. The club has been in contact with other Grand Slam hosts about the possibility of creating a domestic violence policy. Centre Court will continue to begin play at 1:30 p.m. local time. Wimbledon's prize fund will be worth around £4m more than the French Open, with both winners set to receive £200,000 more than last year. The All England Club is paying out £10m more than in 2019.
