Story

Alphonso Evans Sr. never met his father, but his journey to find out about him led him to become a father figure for many children. Raised by his grandparents, he felt the need to understand his past before getting married and starting his own family. Now an assistant superintendent in the Philadelphia School District, he has dedicated his life to mentoring fatherless children. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he wrote a book called "Taking the Risk, Meet Your Father" and started a podcast discussing the importance of fathers in children's lives. His book is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
