Five suspects were arrested following a brazen smash-and-grab robbery at a Sunnyvale jewelry store involving nearly two dozen suspects. The suspects used hammers and tools to break jewelry display cases and steal merchandise before fleeing in multiple vehicles. Police chased the suspects on U.S. Highway 101, with one vehicle seen throwing stolen jewelry out of the window. Five suspects were apprehended, identified as Tonga Latu, Tavake Esafe, Ofa Ahomana, Kilifi Leaaetoa, and Afuhia Lavakeiaho. They were booked on various charges and some stolen jewelry was recovered. No injuries were reported, and law enforcement agencies are investigating if the robbery is linked to a previous incident in May.
