- The situation highlights the complexities of relationships amid financial disputes.
Cyrus, 62, filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order on June 13, claiming 37 unauthorized charges on his American Express card by Firerose, legally known as Johanna Hodges. Firerose denied the emergency and stated she had access to one of his credit cards since June 2022. Cyrus had agreed to provide money for Firerose during divorce proceedings and pay $5,000 per month for housing. He filed for an annulment in May, citing fraud in obtaining consent for marriage. Cyrus believes Firerose married him for reasons other than love. He requested a temporary restraining order from Firerose after filing for divorce, alleging $96,986 in unauthorized charges, including a $70,665 payment to her lawyers. Firerose disputed the charges and claimed she had access to his credit cards. Cyrus accused Firerose of cheating and sought an annulment, with their separation date listed as May 22, 2024. Firerose was asked to leave their home by May 24. The couple's wedding followed a year after their engagement and two years after Billy Ray's divorce from Tish Cyrus. Noah Cyrus, their daughter, has been caught in a family feud, with rumors of Tish pursuing Dominic Purcell, whom Noah was allegedly dating.
