A man is dead in Long Beach and the suspect is on the run

Homicide detectives Sunday were investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in an encampment in Long Beach.

Police do not believe that speed or distracted driving were factors in the crash as the driver remained at the scene to cooperate with their investigation early Friday morning near the intersection of Seventh Street and Bellflower Boulevard.
