The declining diet of Japan's youth

Highly processed foods accounted for over one-fourth of the total energy intake amongst youths. Consumption negatively associated with the intake of healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables and pulses. Consumption of confectioneries was positively associated with consuming confectionery. Consumption was negatively linked to the consumption of unhealthy foods such as fruit and vegetables.
