Everton close to acquiring Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille in a £17m deal

In the latest transfer news, Everton is on the verge of securing a deal to sign Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille for a reported fee of €20m (£17m). The 24-year-old forward, who previously played for Sheffield United, has agreed to personal terms on a five-year contract with the club. Everton is set to pay an initial €18.5m for Ndiaye, with an additional €1.5m in potential add-ons. Despite a challenging season at Marseille, where he scored four goals in 46 appearances, Everton is hopeful that Ndiaye can rediscover his form, given his versatility in various attacking positions and his international experience with Senegal. Ndiaye's potential arrival at Everton would mark their third signing of the summer, following the acquisitions of Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa and Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds. Additionally, veteran player Ashley Young has extended his stay at the club for another year. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace is preparing for interest in Eberechi Eze from top Premier League clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham, with a potential transfer fee exceeding £60m. Palace is also expected to secure the signing of Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada on a free transfer, who previously played under manager Oliver Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt. The pursuit of Ndiaye by Everton comes after negotiations for Newcastle winger Yankuba Minteh stalled.
