British Airways plane stairs catch fire after an IT failure

The UK's busiest airport revealed passengers travelling from Terminal 5 'may be impacted' by the failure in BA's Allocation systems, adding that no other airline has been affected.

Flames and a huge black cloud of smoke was seen rising from a set of mobile stairs and attached to an A320 parked at Heathrow Terminal 5, engulfing its tail. No passengers were on board at the time.
