Other flags included a tribute to Coronation Street character Gail Platt as actress Helen Wort prepares to leave the soap after 50 years. The festival's second day saw revellers enjoying performances by artists like Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka, and Cyndi Lauper before Coldplay's headline set on the Pyramid Stage. Over on the Other stage, Party bands like the Last Dinner Party and Bloc Party entertained the crowd, along with performances by Camila Cabello and Mike Skinner of the Streets before Disclosure closed out the stage. A Guardian Live event at The Astrolabe featured a conversation with Orbital, reflecting on their influence as a bridge between indie and electronic music. The day also saw a special set by Orbital at the Park stage to commemorate 30 years since their iconic 1994 festival appearance, featuring guests Tilda Swinton and Mel C. The festival atmosphere was vibrant, with fans braving the midday heat to catch performances by artists like Cyndi Lauper and the Last Dinner Party. The latter, hailed as the breakthrough British alt-rock band of 2024, impressed with their charismatic frontwoman and tight musical performance. Meanwhile, Grindah from Kurrupt FM took the stage at the Nowhere stage at Shangri-La on Saturday night.
