As a newly minted indie artist, the singer-songwriter, 37, released the defiant, upbeat track as her very first since parting ways with Dr. Luke's record label less than a year ago.

Kesha has certainly been doing her part to get fans revved up about her new single. The 37-year-old will release her new single Joy Ride on July 4.
