The spoil islands in Biscayne Bay will be open to the public on Friday

The city of Miami had closed the four islands -- Osprey Island, Morningside Island, Pace Picnic Island also known as 'Teachers Island' and Willis Island -- to address contamination and littering.

The islands were temporarily closed due to littering and contamination.
