Greenwood, 22, has not played for Manchester United since January 2022 following charges of attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault, which were later dropped. The former Brighton manager says he knows nothing about Greenwood's past and he is a "champion".

Greenwood is not expected to continue his career at his boyhood club after United issued a statement last year confirming the 'mutual decision' between both parties.
