As a household name for almost 40 years, he is more than used to having all eyes on him - but the Rust shooting case has shone a very different spotlight. In the courtroom, he was Alexander Rae Baldwin, not Alec Baldwin, Hollywood star.

Alec Baldwin faces up to 18 months in prison if he is convicted in his manslaughter trial for the fatal shooting of "Rust" cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the New Mexico movie set.

The actor has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter and faces 18 months in prison if convicted. Baldwin was holding a prop gun on the set of the western Rust in 2021 when it discharged, killing Ms Hutchins.
