Friends, including a woman named Maxine, reported that Mary, who uses a walker and had recently returned from the hospital, was targeted by a man believed to be experiencing homelessness. The incident occurred around 9 PM on a Sunday night as Mary was leaving her courtyard to buy milk for a neighbor. According to reports, Mary managed to activate her medical alert bracelet and yelled for help during the attack, which ultimately scared the assailant away. However, she sustained serious injuries, including two broken bones in her back and a broken pelvis, and is currently hospitalized. Friends are rallying around her, expressing their concern for her well-being and the safety of the community. Maxine voiced her frustration, stating, "Now I ain't going to be able to go out late at night because I don't trust it anymore."
