Story

Moon, Pennsylvania – Several patrons at Primanti Bros. were unexpectedly asked to leave the restaurant on Sunday afternoon as preparations were made for a private event coinciding with the visit of Vice President Kamala Harris. Mark Dodson, a local resident, expressed his surprise when the bartender announced last call at 3:30 p.m., just half an hour before the scheduled event. He noted that he was the last customer to exit, leaving the parking lot nearly empty as he observed a growing crowd of protesters across the street. Witnesses reported that many of the protesters were wearing pro-Trump attire and accused the Harris campaign of staging the event with "actors." Video footage captured by ABC News showed a bustling dining room just before the patrons were asked to vacate. Amy Smith, another diner, recounted her experience, stating that she had arrived for lunch around 2:50 p.m. and left shortly before Harris's arrival, which was delayed until around 6 p.m. The Harris campaign did not respond to requests for comment regarding the incident. Republican lobbyist David Urban highlighted the irony of Harris visiting a Sheetz gas station, given the Biden administration's ongoing legal issues with the chain over employee background checks. Following the incident, local figure DeMarco urged the public to be lenient with Primanti Bros., expressing his fondness for the restaurant's signature sandwiches.
