In February 2020, Canadian photographer Marriott encountered severe weather conditions while searching for wildlife in the Yukon. Despite facing challenges like dense thicket and frigid temperatures of minus 29 degrees Celsius, he persisted and focused on tracking a mother lynx and her two kittens. After days of searching, Marriott finally found the fresh tracks of the lynx family, documenting their activities as they hunted and rested in the snow. The photos captured during this expedition were later entered into the Wildlife Photographer of the Year awards organized by the UK's Natural History Museum, for which he was recognized in the Animal Portraits category. This significant achievement reflects Marriott's passion for wildlife photography and showcases the importance of perseverance in the field. As he moved forward, Marriott plans to release a limited edition print of his award-winning photograph, further sharing his love for nature and wildlife with others, thereby enhancing his career despite previous accolades in various forms, such as coins, stamps, and license plates.
