Beverley Park in Devon Plans Major Upgrade with New Amenities

The Jeavons family, owners of Beverley Park in Goodrington, Torbay, have announced ambitious plans to enhance the holiday park, originally opened in 1956. The proposed upgrades include a pool extension and the addition of a splash park aimed at children, reflecting the park's commitment to improving the guest experience. Initially established with just 10 caravans, the park has expanded significantly and now features 238 caravans, 23 lodges, and 143 camping pitches across three linked sites. The planning application outlines several key improvements, including the relocation of changing rooms and gym facilities, as well as an extension of the indoor swimming pool to incorporate a reception and café area. Additionally, the plans propose a first-floor extension to the existing restaurant, which will enhance amenities for both staff and customers, including upgraded toilets and office space. The family’s vision also includes creating a splash park for children and improving seating areas throughout the park. A new walled garden and pedestrian area are set to connect the park's two main buildings, further enhancing the overall layout and accessibility of the site. In their application, the Jeavons family emphasized the importance of balancing the park's rich history with modern trends.
