Bhopal Airport Launches Direct Flight to Pune at 3 AM

On the night of October 27-28, 2024, IndiGo inaugurated direct flights connecting Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, with Pune, Maharashtra. This new service is a significant addition to the air travel options available for residents and visitors, aiming to bolster economic and tourist connections between the two cities. Airport Director Ramji Awasthi confirmed that the inaugural flight from Pune reached Raja Bhoj Airport in Bhopal at 3:00 am and that the return flight from Bhopal to Pune departs at 3:40 am. Bhopal MP Alok Sharma played a crucial role in this development by meeting with the Union civil aviation minister to recommend new flights.
