Attendees of a major concert expressed frustration with the event's organizers after enduring lengthy queues in sweltering conditions, leading to several individuals fainting. One concertgoer recounted her experience to the BBC, stating that she lost consciousness in the heat and was unable to enter the venue. Many others reported that the extensive wait caused them to miss multiple performances, raising concerns about the event's management. Jessica Hedges, a 21-year-old from Northampton, shared her ordeal, explaining that she and a friend arrived at the venue at 12:45 BST, just before the gates opened at 13:00. Despite their anticipation to see Nessa Barrett perform at 15:35, they remained in line at 16:15 without any sight of the entrance. Hedges described the scene as chaotic, with numerous attendees fainting and suffering from heat-related issues. She criticized the lack of water availability and the dismissive attitude of security personnel. The situation escalated as concertgoers reported feeling overheated and unwell, with some ultimately leaving the event without seeing any performances. Hedges, who spent an hour with paramedics due to heatstroke, expressed her disappointment at missing the acts she had come to see. The festival promoter, AEG Presents, has been approached for comment regarding the incident and the complaints raised by attendees.
