ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Friday that pitcher Tyler Glasnow has been placed on the 15-day injured list due to right elbow tendinitis. This marks Glasnow's second stint on the injured list this season, raising concerns about his health as the team approaches the final stretch of the season. Glasnow, 31, has had a strong season, boasting a record of 9-6 with a 3.49 ERA across 22 starts. He has achieved a career-high 168 strikeouts in 134 innings and has limited opponents to a .190 batting average. The right-hander, who joined the Dodgers in a trade with Tampa Bay last December, earned his first All-Star selection in July, highlighting his impact on the team. In his most recent appearance, Glasnow faced the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he pitched seven innings, allowing two runs and throwing 98 pitches, but did not receive a decision. With Glasnow sidelined, the Dodgers have called up left-hander Justin Wrobleski from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start against the St. Louis Cardinals on Friday night. As the Dodgers navigate these injury challenges, they currently hold a two-game lead in the National League West over rivals Arizona and San Diego. Additionally, utilityman Chris Taylor has been sent on a rehab assignment to Oklahoma City as the team works to bolster its roster.
