Story

LARGO, Fla. — A 23-year-old woman, Jermeria Holycross, remains hospitalized following a severe road rage incident that occurred last week in Largo. Holycross sustained multiple injuries, including a broken pelvis, rib, and leg, along with facial lacerations and road rash. Her mother, Tammy Holycross, recounted receiving a distressing call from her son, who was in the vehicle during the attack, stating, "He just said he killed my sister." Authorities have arrested 57-year-old Boris Twillman, charging him with attempted murder in the first degree. The incident began when Holycross believed she had been rear-ended and stopped her vehicle to assess the damage. According to police reports, Twillman allegedly struck her intentionally with his Jeep, pinning her between the two vehicles and dragging her along the road. Witness accounts indicate that Twillman had been following Holycross for approximately 10 to 15 minutes prior to the collision. Tammy Holycross described her daughter’s fear during the encounter, stating that Jermeria attempted to evade Twillman by moving out of his way. After the incident, Twillman fled the scene but later contacted police, claiming he was not involved in the crash. As Jermeria Holycross begins her recovery, her mother revealed that she will need to relearn how to walk. Twillman now faces serious charges, including attempted murder and leaving the scene of an accident.
