Toronto International Film Festival Unveils Star-Studded Lineup for Fall Premiere

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has announced an exciting lineup for its upcoming fall event, featuring world premieres of notable films including Angelina Jolie's war drama "Without Blood" and Bruce Springsteen's documentary "Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band." Jolie's film, which stars Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir, is adapted from Alessandro Baricco's novel, while Springsteen's documentary offers a behind-the-scenes look at his recent world tour. In addition to these films, Mike Leigh's "Hard Truths," marking his return to filmmaking after six years, will also premiere at TIFF, reuniting him with actress Marianne Jean-Baptiste. Other highlights include Gia Coppola's "The Last Showgirl," featuring Pamela Anderson and Jamie Lee Curtis, and Rachel Morrison's directorial debut "The Fire Inside," which tells the story of the first woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing, with a screenplay by Barry Jenkins. The festival will also showcase new works from Edward Burns and David Mackenzie, with films like "Millers in Marriage" and the thriller "Relay," respectively. Jennifer Lopez stars in the Ben Affleck-produced sports drama "Unstoppable," while Hugh Grant leads the eerie A24 film "Heretic." TIFF, which runs from September 5 to September 15, is poised to reignite its star power following last year's actors' strikes, setting the stage for the awards season. Focus Features will present Edward Berger's papal thriller "Conclave," although its world premiere is expected to occur at either the Venice or Telluride festivals. Other previously announced films include animated features and dramas starring prominent actors, ensuring a diverse and engaging slate for festival-goers.
