Illegal immigrants charged after South Carolina mother is murdered

In South Carolina, on May 2, 2025, Larisha Sharell Thompson was fatally shot while sitting in her vehicle on Riverside Road. She was the victim of a random robbery attempt by a group including six illegal immigrants from Honduras, ages 13 to 21. The initial burglary attempt occurred on April 30, and, following the murder, law enforcement identified the suspects through a series of text messages exchanged among them, which included phrases indicating a premeditated plan. The suspects allegedly used WhatsApp to organize their attempted burglary and later executed the tragic act in what is described as a cold-blooded murder. On May 12, authorities arrested Asael Aminadas Torres-Chirinos, 21; Jarby Ardon Ramos-Odari, 18; and Jeyson Sobied Pineda-Salgado, 17, along with three juvenile suspects aged 13, 14, and 15, charging them with murder, attempted armed robbery, and second-degree burglary. Evidence pointed towards the group having no remorse or regret following the tragedy.
