Story

In Chaska, Minnesota, a significant incident occurred late Thursday night involving a motorist and local police. The chase began when the driver was seen operating a vehicle in a manner deemed reckless, notably driving the wrong way on Yellow Brick Road, nearly colliding with a police squad car. After briefly entering the drive-thru of an Arby's restaurant to order food, the situation escalated. The responding officer approached the vehicle and noticed signs of impairment, prompting the request for the driver to exit the vehicle. However, instead of complying, the motorist fled the scene, driving over the curb and re-entering the street. This reckless decision led to further complications as the driver collided with two police squad cars while attempting to evade capture. The pursuit continued until the driver crashed into multiple unoccupied vehicles on Stoughton Avenue, which is roughly two and a half miles from the Arby’s drive-thru. The vehicle became disabled as a result of these collisions. Following the crash, the driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Once released, they were taken into custody by the police and subsequently booked into Carver County jail for their actions. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding impaired driving and the potential danger posed to law enforcement and the public.
