In an initiative aimed at both customers and children in need, Wendy's is bringing back its Frosty Key Tags for the upcoming holiday season, which will be available from December 9, 2024, until February 16, 2025. The tags allow customers to get a free Jr. Frosty with every visit, a significant enhancement over previous years when customers could only redeem one free Frosty per day. This year’s promotion represents a shift that caters to frequent Frosty lovers by allowing free treats every visit instead. Customers can obtain the Frosty Key Tag either digitally through the Wendy's app or as a physical keychain. Beginning on December 9, customers can purchase the Frosty Key Tags, with proceeds benefiting the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, thereby contributing to its charitable activities. Approximately 90% of the proceeds go directly to the Foundation, and Wendy's does not financially benefit from these keychain sales. This philanthropic approach emphasizes Wendy's commitment to supporting children in need while engaging with its customer base. To redeem the free Frosty, holders of a physical keychain can return multiple times in one day, albeit the digital keychain will need to recharge for about an hour after use. This added flexibility encourages loyal customers to participate and enjoy their Frosties more frequently. With the holiday spirit in mind, this initiative not only boosts customer satisfaction but also aims to create a meaningful impact by contributing a large portion of sales to a charitable cause. The Frosty Key Tag program follows a longstanding tradition of Wendy's combining enjoyment with generosity, reinforcing its connection with customers during the festive season. As people indulge in holiday treats, they have an opportunity to support a good cause, creating a win-win situation for both the company and the children it seeks to help.
