HD Hyundai showcases eco-friendly tech at Gastech 2024 in Houston

HD Hyundai is set to make a significant impact at Gastech 2024, the world's largest gas exhibition, taking place in Houston, USA. Scheduled for September 17-20, the event will gather approximately 800 companies and over 50,000 attendees, providing a platform for HD Hyundai to present its innovative eco-friendly technologies. The company will be represented by Vice Chairman Chung Kisun and a team of senior executives, focusing on advancements in the shipbuilding and maritime sectors. During the exhibition, HD Hyundai plans to achieve 16 technical certification acquisitions and sign multiple memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with global classification societies. These collaborations will enhance the company's capabilities in digital transformation and decarbonization technologies, which are crucial for the future of the maritime industry. Notably, HD Hyundai will showcase its next-generation LNG carrier and other eco-friendly ship models. The company will also receive several Approvals in Principle (AIPs) for its innovative technologies, including a cloud-based digital twin verification system for LNG carriers and an unmanned engine room design for ammonia-powered ships. These advancements are expected to improve safety and efficiency in maritime operations. In addition to showcasing its technologies, HD Hyundai will host a technical seminar on the first day of the event, discussing trends in gas carriers and the roadmap for vessel digitalization.
