Federal investment boosts active transportation in Vaudreuil-Dorion

In Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, the federal government has announced a significant investment of $2,464,200 to enhance active transportation options in the area. This funding will support the redevelopment of rue Chicoine, which will include the addition of sidewalks, one-way bicycle paths, and improved pedestrian-friendly lighting over a distance of 1.4 km. The project aims to create a safer and more accessible environment for both pedestrians and cyclists, ultimately improving the quality of life for residents. The municipal government has also contributed $1,839,065 to the project, which is part of a larger municipal initiative valued at over $14 million.
