DEARBORN, Mich. – Authorities in Dearborn are actively searching for suspects involved in a jewelry store robbery that occurred on August 7. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m. in the 7000 block of Schaefer, where two masked men entered the store armed with a rifle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the robbery. According to police reports, one suspect brandished the firearm, ordering both employees and customers to the ground, while the other filled a bag with stolen items. The specific items taken have not been disclosed. The situation escalated when an employee fired shots at the fleeing suspects, who managed to escape in a black sedan, believed to be a 2011-2013 Mazda 3, noted for its peeling paint on the hood and trunk. Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin emphasized the department's commitment to thoroughly investigating the crime, stating, "We will aggressively investigate this crime and utilize all available resources to bring these suspects to justice."
