The Emirates NBA Cup, formerly known as the NBA In-Season Tournament, begins today, November 12, 2024. This year, teams are divided into groups, with each team playing two home and two away games against their group opponents. Progressing through the tournament, the six group winners, along with two wildcards, will move on to the knockout stage, leading to semifinals on December 14 and the championship game on December 17 in Las Vegas. In its inaugural year, the Los Angeles Lakers claimed the title, and this year's competition will also see teams competing in games that count toward regular season standings, except for the championship match. The payout structure for players has increased since last year, building excitement and rivalry as teams vie for the NBA Cup trophy and cash rewards.
