Trump Claims Three Debate Agreements at Press Conference
- Donald Trump claimed he has agreed to participate in three debates scheduled for September.
- The announcement was made during a press conference held at his Mar-a-Lago estate.
- This move signals Trump's ongoing involvement in the political arena ahead of future elections.
Former President Donald Trump hosted a select group of journalists at his Mar-a-Lago estate, where he launched a scathing attack on Vice President Kamala Harris, labeling her a “radical left person.” During his lengthy monologue, Trump claimed that the United States is facing unprecedented danger and is “very close to a world war,” although he provided no evidence to substantiate these claims. He confirmed that both his campaign and Harris's campaign have agreed to participate in a debate on ABC scheduled for September 10, following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race. Despite previously withdrawing from the debate after Biden's exit, Trump suggested that Harris's reluctance to engage in further debates would indicate her inability to defend her position. He also made unfounded comparisons between his rally attendance and the historic 1963 March on Washington, which drew over 250,000 participants, asserting that his events attracted larger crowds. Trump criticized Harris as “the least admired, least respected, and the worst vice president in the history of our country,” despite the fact that she and Biden collectively received over 81 million votes in the 2020 election. In response, the Harris campaign dismissed Trump’s remarks, branding him “the most insecure man in America.” Campaign spokesperson Ammar Moussa accused Trump of seeking attention through online tantrums and claimed that his campaign lacks vision and solutions. Moussa asserted that voters would reject Trump again in the upcoming election, emphasizing Harris and Governor Walz's commitment to promoting opportunity and security for all Americans.
