New Night Train Service from Brussels to Venice

Brussels is set to introduce a new overnight train service to Venice, as announced by the Belgian-Dutch railway company European Sleeper on Tuesday. This new route will commence in February and March, providing travelers with a unique opportunity to journey to the iconic Italian city. The service will operate twice a week, taking approximately 20 hours to complete the trip. The schedule has been designed to align with school holidays and the peak winter sports season, coinciding with the famous Venice Carnival. Chris Engelsman, co-founder of European Sleeper, emphasized the comfort of the journey, highlighting that passengers can enjoy amenities such as a restaurant car while traveling through picturesque landscapes in Germany, Austria, and the Alps before arriving in Verona and Venice the next day. European Sleeper is also expanding its offerings, with plans for a daily connection between Amsterdam and Barcelona. This move follows the successful launch of the first direct overnight train between Brussels and Berlin in over a decade, which took place last year. The company aims to enhance rail travel options across Europe, catering to the growing demand for sustainable and convenient transportation.
