Pune District voter count hits 8.6 million ahead of elections

The final voter list for Pune district was released on Friday by Deputy District Election Officer Meenal Kalaskar as part of the Election Commission of India's Special Short Revision Programme. The list indicates a total of 8,647,172 registered voters, comprising 4,491,068 men, 4,155,330 women, and 774 individuals identifying as third-gender.
