Father arrested in connection to son's mysterious death

In Minnesota, Jordan "Manny" Collins Jr., a 16-year-old boy, was reported missing on May 8, 2025. Following nearly two months of search efforts, his remains were discovered at the Waste Management Landfill in Elk River on June 30, 2025. His father, Jordan Dupree Collins Sr., aged 38, was taken into custody on July 7, 2025, as investigators connected him to the circumstances surrounding his son’s death. The initial search commenced after authorities received credible information regarding a video that indicated a dumpster might have been involved in the disposal of Collins Jr.'s body, which led them to the landfill where his remains were ultimately found. The autopsy of Collins Jr. was completed; however, the definitive cause of death has not yet been disclosed, adding to the urgency for justice among family and community members who have expressed their concerns about the father's behavior leading up to the disappearance. Collins Jr. was last seen living in an apartment with his father, where his great-grandmother had previous suspicions about his well-being.
