Story

In the United States, Buc-ee's has recently expanded its footprint by opening two new travel centers in the South Atlantic region. The newly opened travel center in Brunswick, Georgia, launched on June 27, 2023, followed closely by the Mount Crawford, Virginia, location, which opened its doors on June 26, 2023. With a considerable size of 74,000 square feet each, both centers are equipped with 120 gas pumps, attracting travelers and motorists with their expansive offerings. The Brunswick site is now the third Buc-ee's location in Georgia, strategically located on a busy stretch of interstate near the Georgia coastline, aiming to cater to those traveling between Florida and South Carolina. Meanwhile, the Mount Crawford location marks the company’s initial entry into Virginia, generating excitement among local officials and community members. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Mount Crawford site included participation from Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, who emphasized the significance of the investment, which adds approximately 200 new jobs to the local economy and involves over $60 million in investment in Rockingham County. Besides providing ample fueling options, both locations feature popular treats such as Beaver Nuggets, homemade fudge, and kolaches, appealing to Buc-ee's loyal customer base. Their entrance into these two states increases the total count of Buc-ee's travel centers to 54 as part of a broader expansion strategy initiated in 2019, informed by a growing demand for such amenities. Recent construction also began on the first Buc-ee's facility in Goodyear, Arizona. The expansion reflects Buc-ee’s ongoing commitment to broadening its presence across various states, further establishing its reputation as a leading travel center chain known for convenience and customer satisfaction.
