Cammarano emphasized the importance of survivor testimonies in determining the circumstances surrounding the event, stating, “That is precisely what we are trying to ascertain from the statements made during the interrogation of the survivors.” Rear Admiral Raffaele Macauda provided details about the recovery efforts, noting that the wreck lies approximately 50 meters deep. He indicated that the responsibility for retrieving the vessel rests with its owners, and the operation will depend on their availability and the results of the ongoing inquiry.
