Story

In August 2023, Michael Sparks, a 62-year-old resident of a nudist community called Olive Dell Ranch in Redlands, California, allegedly murdered his neighbors, 73-year-old Stephanie Menard and 79-year-old Daniel Menard. The violent incident stemmed from a claim that Daniel Menard had insulted Sparks by providing him with a $1 hot dog, which Sparks perceived as a demeaning gesture. During a series of arguments before the murders, Sparks's relationship with the Menards had deteriorated leading up to the tragic event. After the killings, Sparks reportedly took drastic measures to conceal the crime by dismembering the bodies and hiding them in a bunker.
