In a shocking incident, beloved Mexican country singer Kevin Hernandez, 34, was brutally murdered alongside his family in a violent ambush in Chihuahua, northern Mexico. The attack occurred on May 5, when Hernandez and his wife, Marisela Sandoval, were found dead in their bullet-riddled Chevrolet Malibu. Their 17-year-old son later succumbed to injuries in the hospital, while their two younger children, aged 14 and four, are recovering from gunshot wounds, along with their maternal grandmother. Authorities reported that the family's vehicles were targeted in a hail of gunfire, with 150 shell casings discovered at the scene. The violence escalated further when gunmen attacked Marisela's parents' home shortly after, damaging several cars but fortunately causing no additional injuries. Fellow musician Luis Fernando Peinado, known as El Dolar, expressed his sorrow over the tragedy, highlighting the fragility of life in his heartfelt remarks. In a haunting twist, Hernandez's latest song, titled "If God Takes Me With Him," was released shortly after the shootings, adding a poignant layer to the tragedy. Hernandez was a prominent figure in the music scene, known for his work with the band H Nortena, and had built a significant following through extensive touring in Chihuahua. In a separate but equally tragic case, authorities have confirmed the identities of three surfers who went missing in Baja California. The bodies of Jake and Callum Robinson and Jack Carter Rhoad were recovered from a deep well, with prosecutors suggesting they were murdered by thieves attempting to steal their truck tires.
