Search continues for missing hiker Austin King in Yellowstone, October 2024

Austin King, a 22-year-old hiker, was reported missing after successfully reaching the summit of Eagle Peak, the highest mountain in Wyoming, on September 17. However, officials from the Yellowstone National Park Service decided to transition the focus away from rescue efforts toward a recovery mission, considering the lengthy duration of his disappearance. Austin's father, Brian King-Henke, faced the emotional struggle of returning home to Minnesota as search efforts were scaled back amidst winter conditions approaching the region.
