Modi revitalizes Amaravati with foundation stone for 74 projects

The re-launch comes after a period of stagnation following the previous government led by the YSR Congress Party, which had shifted towards developing three separate state capitals. This decision faced backlash from local farmers who had originally donated their land for the Amaravati project. Following the return of the TDP party to power in June of the previous year, efforts were reinitiated to drive forward the vision behind Amaravati. In conjunction with these developments, Modi lauded the technological initiatives of Andhra Pradesh's former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, expressing how these initiatives influenced his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He acknowledged the technological advancements in various sectors, including semiconductors, digital payments, and artificial intelligence, which are foundational to the development of Amaravati as a major urban center. The Prime Minister also expressed a commitment from the Central Government to provide comprehensive support for these ambitious projects, highlighting international cooperation from entities like the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank, which are set to contribute significant funding. As Modi stated, the evolving vision for Amaravati aligns with the broader goal of a developed India, which illustrates the aspirations of not only Andhra Pradesh but the nation as a whole, paving the way for future growth and opportunities.
